 Montessori Math Info SessionA math info session will be held in the Montessori A classroom on Friday, January 9 at 8:15am for any Montessori or ECC parents who are interested in attending. This session will cover the method of math instruction in the Montessori classroom.

KG Arabic Info Session
An Arabic info session will be held in Ms. Tania's classroom on Friday, January 9 at 8:45am for parents of Montessori level 3 (KG) students only. This session will review the method of Arabic instruction for KG students according to our curriculum.

Dressing Your Child for the Weather
As our students do go outside for recess daily, please be sure to check the weather and send your child dressed in the appropriate clothing on a daily basis. There are days that the temperature drops throughout the school day so please send your child in layers on such days. We take students out for recess as long as wind chill does not go below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. |

Ordering Lunches for January
Please go to www.orderlunches.com and order your student(s) lunches for the month of January by the deadline of this Sunday, January 4. As of February, there will be an option for you to pay for the remainder of the semester at once in February. More details on that will be provided closer to February. |
After School Arabic Offering (Grades 1-3)
We offer an after school Arabic class for students (in grades 1-3 only) to supplement what is already taught in class. These classes are designed for those students who are struggling in the subject, however if your child has not been identified as needing this extra help but you would still like to enroll him/her in the classes, you may do so. Classes are on Mondays and Thursday after school until 4pm. The fee is $300 for the full semester or 5 post-dated installments of $70 each. To enroll your child or for more details, please email us.

OotM Volunteers Needed
Our Odyssey of the Mind teams are in need of 4 volunteers to assist them with qualifying for the regional tournament coming up in March. Two volunteers are needed to be trained judges for the competition. The commitment is half a day on 2/7/15 and full days on 3/7/15 and 4/11/15. The other two volunteers needed are 2 hour volunteers who will assist with the tournament on 3/7/15 on that day or the day before (3/6/15) for a couple of hours. If you or someone you know can volunteer, please let us know by responding to this email.

Next Gala Planning Meeting
The next meeting to assist with planning the fundraising gala will take place on Tuesday, January 13 at 1:45pm. There is still a lot to do in the next month so please attend if you can help!

Save the Date: Fundraising Gala 2015
Our annual fundraising gala for this academic year is fast approaching! It will be held on Sunday, February 15 at 5:30pm at the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside. The gala will include performances from all of the students in the school so it is very important that our students all attend. If, for any reason, you know that your child will not be able to, please let us know ASAP.
More details about the fundraiser, including purchasing tickets, are coming soon. Please remember that you will be able to invite all of your family members, and are highly encouraged to do so. |

2015-16 Tuition and Fees
The tuition for the next academic year has been set at $5,900 for one student for the year, with a 20% discount for the second child, 30% for the third child, 40% for the fourth child, and 50% for the fifth child. In the next academic year, we will continue to charge the activity/book fees, however we will no longer charge the $30 school supply fee.

Priority Admissions for 2015-2016
We have opened Priority Admissions for 2015-2016. All current families must reapply for their students if they wish for them to continue at ILM Academy next year.
Please also inform anyone you know who is interested in applying for their child for 2015-2016. The application process this year will be online via TADS and you will pay the fee online as well. The application fee this year will be $65/student for the first 3 students you are applying for in your family. Thereafter, the fee will be waived for your fourth or more children.
It is important that you apply for your child(ren) during the Priority Admissions time period (January 1-31) in order to reserve your child's spot in next year's classes. We are anticipating waiting lists for almost all of our grades.

Purchasing Yearbooks
You can still purchase yearbooks! Do so by:
- Bringing in a check payable to Memory Book for $26 x quantity of yearbooks you want to buy (turn this in to the front office or your child's teacher)
- Go online to order, enter the code 76605, and submit your order!

Community Event: Children of Conflict
There will be an Islamic Relief dinner held on Saturday, January 10 at 7pm with Imam Siraj Wahhaj to raise funds for children in worldwide conflicts.
