oneSpring Picnic

The ECC and Montessori students are having their spring picnic on Friday, March 13 at 11am. This is a day parents can come to the school and take their kids outside to the playground to eat lunch together - picnic style! Please arrive to the school by 11am to pick up your child and escort him/her to the playground. Bring a blanket so you can sit on the grass and a tarp in case if the grass is wet that day.
Friday: Early Dismissal

This coming Friday, March 13 is an early dismissal day. All students, ECC included, must be picked up at 11:45am for dismissal. All students must be picked up no later than 12:15pm. 
Spring Break

The week of March 16-20 is spring break. There will be no school on any of these days. Students will return to school on Monday, March 23.

The academic calendar for next year (2015-2016) is now available by clicking here. A hard copy will be available in August.

Date Change: High School Prep Talk

We will be holding a high school prep talk at the school on Wednesday, March 11 at 8:10am until about 9:00am. It will be held by Najat Elsayad, a licensed school counselor. She is also a parent at ILM Academy and a school administrator at Darul Arqam North who works to prepare students for high school and college. This talk is geared towards parents of current middle school students. 
Spirit Shirts for Sale

We have some additional spirit shirts (the royal blue shirts the students wear for PE class and field trips) for sale. The sizes and quantities of those sizes that we have available are:
  • 4 XS youth t-shirts 
  • 2 L youth t-shirts 
  • 2 S youth tunics 
  • 1 M youth tunic 
  • 1 L youth tunic 

T-shirts are being sold at the reduced price of $11 and tunics are being sold at the reduced price of $14.
threeCPR Class

A CPR class is being offered at the school on Tuesday, March 10 at 1:45pm  for those interested in attending, though space is limited. To attend, please RSVP to the trainer, Afia Jalali, by emailing her at [email protected]. Please note that the cost will be $25 and you will be certified through the American Heart Association. The course will include:
  • adult, child, and infant CPR
  • use of the Automated External Debibrillator (AED)
  • relief of choking in adults, children, and infants

Anyone can stay in touch with us through the above means, whether or not their children attend ILM Academy. For example, feel free to invite your family members and friends to like us on Facebook.

Additionally, we have a separate private PTA page for our parents only which you are welcome to join and stay in touch with fellow parents of the school!  
Tuition and Tax Info

To access tuition invoices at any time, log in to your Orbund account (making sure to select the role of Parent), then click on Tuition & Fees > Payment & Invoice > select the academic year from the top menu. Payments you've made are listed at the bottom. 

If claiming tuition on your taxes, please use the IEIT tax ID number: 76-041-3970. The address for IEIT is 3110 Eastside St., Houston, TX 77098. Tuition cannot be claimed as a donation.
