Hiring Homeroom Teacher

You received an email this weekend of us advertising for a homeroom teacher position. Due to a personal emergency situation, our 3rd grade homeroom teacher had to take an immediate leave from the school. We informed the 3rd grade parents early this week and immediately began our search for a qualified candidate. Should you know anyone qualified, please let us know or have them email their resume to [email protected]
Join Boy Scouts!

There will be a rally held on Friday, November 6 after school for 1st-5th grade parents to come learn about Boy Scouts and register their child for the group to participate in Boy Scouts this year. Interested in Boy Scouts for your son? Please attend!
twoECC/Montessori Fall Picnic

Join your ECC or Montessori student in our annual Fall picnic this Wednesday at 1pm (immediately prior to early dismissal). Pick your student up and enjoy lunch together in the crisp, cool weather on a picnic blanket! If you cannot make it, any relative or family friend may have the picnic with your child. Please bring a plastic sheet/tarp to sit on in the event the ground is moist from the weather.
Report Card Finalizations

Report cards will be finalized by this Wednesday insha'Allah. The delay was caused to technical issues which we have needed the additional days to resolve. To view your Montessori through 8th grade students' grades, please log in to our school management system, Orbund, by using your user name, password, and login role of parent. (If you have forgotten your user name or password, please request them through email.) Once logged in, click on the following menu items in the left hand panel: Academic Reports > Report Cards > select student's name from the top drop down box.
Health and Safety Week for Students

We dedicate this week to especially focus on teaching students about various aspects of their health and how to stay safe. For ECC students, we will have a firetruck visit. For Montessori students, we will have the firetruck, police officer, and dentist visits. The police officer will speak to them about recognizing and trusting police officers and about stranger danger. For 1st-3rd grade students, we will have the dentist and officer visits, which will be on the same topics of dental hygiene and stranger danger. For 4th-8th graders, we will have the police officer visit about making good choices and consequences of bad ones and doctor visit regarding physical body, hormone, and mood changes students are or will soon be going through, from a health and Islamic perspective.
threeHealth Parent Event

There will also be a parent event on Friday morning at about 8:30am in the hall where the documentary Fed Up will be screened, followed by a discussion on health eating for students. Healthy snacks, chai, and coffee will be provided.
