“A common practice with an uncommon richness” (umc.org)
Communion is a sacrament of the United Methodist Church where God is present with us, as well as all the saints that have gone before us. “We are united with Christ, with one another, and in ministry to all the world.” (umc.org) Serving Communion is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of our worship service. Youth and children as young as 4th grade can participate, so it is a great way for the entire family to be in ministry together. To help servers feel more confident in their role, the Communion Servers Committee put together brief instructions that will be emailed to you when you sign up. Someone will be in the Worship Center to demonstrate these procedures when you arrive. To volunteer for a date to serve, please use
Signup.com. A link to this site is on the HUMC website under the Spotlight tab. We invite you to participate in the “uncommon richness” of the Communion table.
