Spring into Action for
OSA Classroom Technology Challenge Grant
This spring donations to the Annual Fund will go twice as far! Quest Foundation has awarded OSA a $20,000 matching challenge grant. This challenge grant will support classroom technology, allowing us to purchase many more much-needed Chromebooks for example, so that each student has access to one.  Quest will match donors' dollars one to one. Help us achieve this award by the end of school the year!
Your contributions to the Annual Fund make an OSA education possible.  This is a great opportunity to double the impact of your donations. As you know, OSA's funding gap this school year is $1,900 per student.  =Your support this spring will help us expand OSA technology in our classrooms.

Challenge Day
Ms. Zaugg is looking for a few more volunteers for Challenge Day which is taking place next week on Wed, March 15th for 10th grade and Thursday, March 16th for 7th grade. This is a unique opportunity to connect with and support our students on a deep level. She is also looking for water igloos (so as not to use bottled water).  Please contact her if you can help at
We are looking ahead to the possibility of showing the film "Screenagers" this spring and are currently exploring funding and scheduling options.   The film " probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director's own, and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction"  See the trailer here
At our April 11th meeting, we will be hosting Constance Taylor from the Rotary Nature Center and Lake Merritt Wildlife Refuge to talk about her work and how students, families, faculty and staff can get involved. We'll also have parent Deidre Martin come speak about Earth Day activities and events in Oakland
