Woodchuck Cider Tasting on Wed August 14, 2013,
5-7pm
Greetings!
It's been a while since we had Woodchuck in for a tasting. Now sadly Lauren moved to the Portland market, but we are lucky enough to have Tom be here in Seattle. Luckily he told me about all the new ciders coming in (to find out about them you have to come to the tasting!) but unfortunately, he has a prior commitment so will not be able to attend our tasting. But I think we can handle it...
Have no fear, I will be here! Yup, Michael & I will be your fearless leaders and show you the way of the Woodchuck. The best news I heard all year? Yup, Raspberry Woodchuck will now be permanently coming to Washington! I guess our pleas were heard, so we'll be tasting through not only a couple of their regular seasonals, but also tasting one of their special limited edition ciders. Come taste the Woodchucks & let me tell you about a new cider coming from them.... Oh, and yes, we'll do a pint glass giveaway with every 6 pack or equivalent purchase!
Cheers,
Erika & Crew
Tastings are from 5-7pm & only $3 or bring your own glass (not disposable plastic or paper folks!) to be GREEN and save $1!
And here's the requisite fine print for the tastings: Due to licensing laws in the state of Washington, we are limited to serving no more than 2oz per varietal/flavor and no more than a grand total of 8oz. You must be over the age of 21 to imbibe. (And I don't mean dog years...)

Woodchuck Cider Tasting Event August 14, 2013
Raspberry (Core Style): It's a small batch of Woodchuck goodness with a little extra zip as it takes everything great about hard cider and kicks it up a notch with a sweet, refreshing, raspberry finish.
Belgian White (Private Reserve): A handcrafted treasure, the ultra-limited edition Private Reserve Belgian White, is crafted with a classic Belgian beer yeast. Cloudy, with a rich, golden hue, it presents a delicate aroma and taste, with coriander and orange notes. It pairs excellently with seafood fare, mixed greens or sharp cheeses. Join the select few who get an exclusive taste of the fruits of our labor.
Fall (Limited Release): There are few things as spectacular as fall in the Green Mountains that surround our cidery. When you add cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of American white oak, you either have yourself some mighty fine cider or your standard Vermont tourism cliche.
Original 91 (Farmhouse Select): The attention to detail coupled with fresh Vermont apples and premium Belgian beer yeast give Original '91 a unique local flavor with a natural cloudiness and pleasing feel on the palate in every expertly crafted small batch.

Trivia, Links, & Fun Stuff!
Local Artist Bill Allen has soem gorgeous posters here at the shop. The NW Microbreweries print (above is only $12) and the Beers of Washington Tap Handle print is only $10!! At 38"x13" these are GORGEOUS wherever you put them!
Brittney from Operation Ward 57 dropped by some goodies. My personal favorite is the .50 Caliber Bottle Opener. So I decided to see how much we can fund raise before the Rock & Rally For The Troops on August 3rd. We raised $500+!!! I'll keep the donation jar on the counter for the time being..but if we can get to $1000 does anyone want to match it?? It's tax deductible.... :-) Celebrate August 15-17th at The Ultimate Wine Weekend. If you buy tickets for Thursday's Party, be sure to tell them you heard about it from us! I'm embarrassed to say I ended up with a case (yes 12 bottles) from that event. Hey! It's for a GREAT cause!!! Ask me about it - be happy to share how AWESOME it is!
