The Sacrament of Reconciliation

If you haven't gone to confession in a while, Lent is the perfect time to reconcile yourself with God and the Church. Preparation for confession should include an examination of conscience, which means you think back on sins you have committed since your last confession.

What happens during confession depends on the priest and the person. Most people still start with the formula: "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been (state the number of months or years) since my last confession." If you can't remember the words or you don't recall how long it's been, don't worry. Just tell the priest it's been a long time, and he will guide you through the process. Catholics Come Home provides  this online resource on how to make a good confession.

Participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation allows you to experience the healing gift of God's love. Throughout Lent, confessions are available Monday-Thursday, from 5 to 5:20 p.m., and Saturday, from 4 to 5 p.m., in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, as well as by appointment. A deanery-wide Lenten Penance Service will be held at St. Anne Church on Monday, March 23, at 7 p.m., inside the main church.

Email addresses can be submitted online, or by completing the bright green form, located at the Welcome Desk in our parish's Commons Area.

Once your email address is accepted by the parish, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access a secure administrative website. On this secure website, you will have an opportunity to update the information we currently have on file for your family.

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to provide this information!
