Ascension of Our Lord
The Ascension of our Lord, a Holy Day of Obligation, celebrates the day that Christ, in the presence of His apostles, ascended bodily into Heaven. The Ascension occurred on the 40th day of Easter, so it falls on a Thursday, and thus is often called Ascension Thursday; however, in most dioceses in the United States, including ours, the celebration of the Ascension has been transferred to the following Sunday, May 17, six weeks after Easter 2015.

Father in heaven,
our minds were prepared
for the coming of Your kingdom
when You took Christ beyond our sight
so that we might seek Him in glory.
May we follow where He has led
and find our hope in His glory,
for He is Lord forever.

Celebrating Sacraments
Sixty-six students from St. Anne Catholic Church and St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School celebrated the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on May 9th; and 75 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation on May 14th.
Please keep these students in your prayers as they continue to grow in the Catholic Faith!
Outreach Open This Weekend
St. Anne Outreach will be open before and after all Masses this weekend, May 16th & 17th, to accept donations.
Spring and summer clothing is needed, especially in larger sizes. Toothbrushes are the May "Item of the Month."

Save the date for Bingo Night at St. Anne Catholic Church!

6:30-8:30 p.m.
Visitation Hall
Families are welcome at this event, which will be focused on fun and fellowship. Admission to Bingo Night is a door prize valued at $10-$15, which will be given away the evening of the event. Light refreshments also will be served.
