Lord, let us see Your kindness, and grant us Your salvation.

Bring the Gospel Home
Do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day.
2 Peter 3:8
Perhaps you have already noticed that God does not always take action when and how we would like Him to do so. St. Peter, the first pope, reminded early Christians that God's timing was different from our own.
According to God's wisdom and design, we have this moment to love and serve Him. If we are blessed with one tomorrow or many, we will still only be able to love and serve Him one moment at a time.
Let us use our time well, trusting that God knows how to give us what we need when we need it most.

Advent Penance Service
Priests from Catholic Churches in Columbus will hear confessions during an Advent Penance Service on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at 7 p.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also called Penance or Confession) is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. Through the Sacrament, Catholics acknowledge their sins, express their sorrow in a meaningful way, receive the forgiveness of Christ and His Church, make reparation for what they have done and resolve to do better in the future. During His public life, Jesus both forgave sins and reintegrated sinners into the community. This is the goal of the Sacrament of Confession: to forgive sins and to provide reconciliation with the Church.
The season of Advent is a wonderful time to experience the healing gift of God's love, the chance to start over with a clean conscience, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
