Yom HaShoah Event
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Sunday | 10:30am

This Sunday, April 23rd, Max Beer and Deena Dlusy-Apel will show and discuss their documentary film:  Nobody was Interested. Nobody Asked: The Holocaust, the Survivors and the Montreal Jewish Community .

Through direct interviews with survivors and with members of the Montreal Jewish community, the film explores the post-Holocaust experiences of those who arrived in Montreal in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and the ways in which they were received.  For many years, Max Beer and Deena Dlusy-Apel have carried out interviews with Holocaust survivors in conjunction with the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling at Concordia University, and are also affiliated with the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre.

This event will be held at Temple Sinai.  A light lunch/refreshments will follow.
