Forgive

Not being forgiven can be a very dark and confining place. And not being able to forgive can create its own kind of claustrophobia. We're called to seek forgiveness and to forgive others. When people are able to forgive there is a sense of release, a sense of openness and light. This is resurrection

The Bishop Is Coming! The Bishop Is Coming!
On April 26th The Rt. Rev. Andrew Doyle will come for an Episcopal visit with our church. He is the ninth bishop of the Diocese of Texas. We will have an unusual afternoon service at 5:00 pm. Bishop Doyle will preside at the service which will include Confirmations and Reaffirmations.

After the service there will be a jazz band, and a light dinner on the grounds. The Bishop will share his vision of the future with us. Please plan to attend this service and stay for the dinner. Help us support the confirmands and visit with Bishop Andy.
Gift Cards for the Needy
Fr. Billy requests that we donate gift cards from HEB, preferably in the $10 denomination Please place them in the alms basins, and indicate the amount of the card. They enable us to help those who come to us in need.
ECW Spring Fashion Show and Meeting

Please join us for the final ECW meeting of the year, May 9th in the Parish Hall, beginning at 10 am, and concluding by noon.

Meditation Moment to be provided by Helen Paulsen.

Refreshments provided by all attendees, either salad or dessert.

Spring Fashion Show:
Fashion items (whether for self, for home, or for friends) should be purchased from the Thrift Shop. Send a description of your item(s) to Lana Beyer (beyerlj@austin.rr.com), our perennial emcee and entertainer.

You do not have to "parade" to participate. You can remain seated and still be part of the show. We're supporting the Thrift Shop and having a little fun.

We will also reveal our Secret Prayer Pal. If you need a reminder, please contact Pat Starkie (pjstarkie@gmail.com).

If you've never attended an ECW meeting, please accept this invitation to join in the fun and fellowship. Monthly meetings will resume in September.

Hope to see you there!

Lay Readers, Please Note
Please check your e-mail for a message from the Resurrection church office containing the schedule through May for the Lectors and Intercessors.

If you are unable to read as scheduled, please find a substitute, and let the office know. Thank you for your patience and faithfulness.

News from the Atrium

Dear Friends,

The paint is done and the new shelves are going in!  It feels like a real Easter/Spring clean in there.  What a gift that all is.
We will celebrate being in a new and yet familiar space this Sunday.  So we will meet in the atrium, same times:

Level I (3-6 yo) at 8:30 am :
Level II (6 yo and above) at 9:15 to 10:15 am :
Claire Jones is our Level II parent this Sunday.

Additionally, Bishop Andy Doyle will preside at a special 5pm Eucharist this Sunday afternoon.  If the weather holds out, we'll meet afterwards at the playground and picnic tables for a potluck supper.  Don't feel bad about just coming for the potluck, if you can't make the evening service.

One change: the shoe cubbies are now just  outside the atrium.  I'm hoping this will help with keeping a quiet atmosphere inside the atrium.  Parent helpers: when an adult comes to pick up their child, gently escort the child out to the shoe shelves.

Peace,
Kelly

Help Needed With Roses

Our beloved parishioners, Ann and Doug Foxworth have acquired some rose bushes for the yard, at their new home. Could some of you green thumb people help them out by planting them for Ann and Doug? They would be most appreciative. Their contact information is in the church directory, and if you don't have a directory, please contact the church office to reply.
