Coffee with Director of Guidance, Steve Favulli -

Have you had a chance to meet our new Director of Guidance, Steve Favulli?  Please join us for coffee with Mr. Favulli on Friday, October 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in the Faculty Dining Room.  Mr. Favulli will talk about upcoming events on the Guidance calendar including Step Up Day.

Back to School Night - 

Back to School Night is on Thursday, October 8th at 6:30 p.m.  It's fast approaching!  Please mark your calendars.

PTSO October Meeting  -

Plan now to attend the October WHS PTSO meeting, to be held Wednesday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the WHS Library.  Kalise Wornum, K-12 METCO Director and WHS Liaison will be conducting a workshop on "Difficult Conversations".  Please come and be a part of this important dialogue.  


SCHOOL COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE ELECTION

Each fall, parents elect representatives to the WHS School Council.  

School council is comprised of students, teachers, parents and community members who all work together with the Dr. Chisum to examine and make recommendations on school policies, as mandated by the state education department. School Council meetings are held monthly, generally on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2:40 p.m. 

We have two parent slots open this year. If you would like to become a candidate, please contact PTSO Vice Presidents Wyndham Flaherty [email protected] and Michele de Oliveira.School [email protected].  Please provide a brief paragraph about yourself and why you'd like to serve on Student Council. 

Elections will be held at Back to School Night on October 8th.

WEF ~ THE 26th ANNUAL WELLESLEY SPELLING BEE

Catch the Buzz!

On Thursday, November 5th,  7pm at the Sprague School Gym  o ur community adult spelling contest and fundraising event is  back for the 26th time! This high spirited community event is right around the corner! How to catch the buzz:
  • Support the Bee --  Click Here  to make a donation or sponsor a high school, middle school or community team. Many levels are available for sponsorship f rom $125 to $2500. The Bee is our biggest fundraiser of the year!  Any amount is appreciated.
  • Bee A Team  --  Click Here   to register a team of three spellers for $500.
    Who knows whom you may be spelling against that night? Last year 55 teams participated in the Bee! Deadline for registering a team is October 16.
