Dear OLG Families,
Thank you for taking the time to recognize a staff member for the
Distinguished Teacher/Staff Award. Our staff is an amazing bunch who are currently working on their summer professional development plans, as well as summer camp and school offerings (more info on summer options next week). Thank you for your incredible support of these fantastic staff!
May is an exciting month, with
Jogathon, 8th grade play, and so much more! Jog-a-thon pledges are being reported, with several young Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Masters in our building! Simply email your teacher or Mrs. Shelly if your student has reached one of these incentive levels... awards are handed-out daily!. More info on the
Jogathon webpage!
May is also the time when we wrap-up our MAP testing for the year for 1st through 8th grades. This annual measure of student growth informs our education plans, our curriculum development work, and we share with you your students areas of growth in the year. The majority of MAPs testing will take place in the weeks of May 7th through 18th, so please keep doctors appointments to a minimum and get plenty of sleep and healthy breakfasts those weeks! Your teachers will be informing you of your particular class testing schedule.
But before may comes, this weekend is a fabulous event (and your last chance to log volunteer hours this school year): our second annual
Cultural Night. What a great way to enjoy Saturday Mass, dinner, and celebrate the rich cultures present in our school and community! I hope many of you are able to come!
