Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

I can't believe we are here in the final days of our school year! Time has flown and here we are with only one 1/2 day of school left! A reminder that there will be no afternoon EDC tomorrow, so please be on time to pickup your child at noon!

There are a few last honors I'd like to share with you. One is from our alums: Seattle Prep honors one boy and one girl with their Ignation Awards each year. This year two freshman hailing from OLG were so honored:
  • Emily Amesquita: Spiritually Alive
  • Cyrus Berger: Intellectually Competent
Congrats to these two excellent students, and all our alums making their way on to their next year of school! Second, please join us at 9am Mass tomorrow for the announcment of our 7th grade leadership awards ( sorry, I won't give it away early).

This summer there is much work being done around school, and anyone looking to get a jump on commitment hours (or just want to partake in the fun) can join us for projects such as new signage (thank you Class of 2017), new ELC Play structure (thank you Class of 2018), or additional painting and moving. If you are so inclined, please get in contact with Sal Pagan, or keep an eye on our summer updates and school calendar as we continue to move our hands and feet in the work of building the best school we can!

Summer office hours will go into affect on Monday, June 18th. More details below. Have a safe and wonderful summer!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

Uniform Exchange
The end of the year is upon us. Has your kiddo outgrown their uniform and it’s still in good condition? Well it's time to turn it in for the next kid! I will be collecting uniforms every day the week of June 11th. For your convenience there will be empty boxes at both drop off/pick up areas at the north and south parking lots. Please bring in your GENTLY USED pants, jumpers, skirts, etc.

NO WHITE SHIRTS PLEASE UNLESS THEY ARE NEW OR BARELY USED!
AND WE REALLY NEED SWEATSHIRTS!

Or, at any time you can bring them to the office. E-mail Erin Pedras with any questions. Thank you!
Lost and Found
Be sure to check Lost and Found by the front office! We are overflowing. Please label students' sweatshirts, water bottles, and lunch boxes so they can find their owner. Inventory is done periodically, but please come by and see if there's anything to claim. Anything left will be donated this summer so we can clear space for next year!
Parent Org Updates
THANK YOU from Christa Callanan, outgoing PO Chair –
Your work hasn’t gone unnoticed or unappreciated! I know that as a volunteer you may not always have the time to give back but you certainly have the heart – and you gave it this year! THANK YOU!

As departing PO chair I am pleased to announce we had a number of successes this past academic year. Because of you we had a $20,000 improvement in fundraising over last academic year and we were able to make both of our annual financial commitments to the school. THANK YOU for your time, treasure, and talent. We held our school auction in a new location, tried some new things, and pulled off a great event. Every parent at OLG School has an important part to play and I want to express my gratitude to you and to the PO board for all of your efforts during this year.

I have been blessed to have served in the role of Parent Org chair for two years and have truly seen the hands and feet of Christ at work in you, the parents and leaders. It is with ultimate gratitude that I extend my appreciation, especially to the PO reps, PO chairs and PO executive members, and to all of you who give selflessly each year. As a one-class-per-grade school we couldn’t operate the way we do without your volunteerism and spirit. Enjoy your summer and know you are appreciated, and I’ll see you in the Fall!

It is important to fill these early because the first meeting is in August!) Class parent, Auction project parent, Auction committee roles, and a few newly added exciting roles! World Refugee Day
The Catholic Church has for decades taken seriously the plight of vulnerable refugees and through advocacy, education efforts, and service provision sought to provide increased protections for them. These efforts are led by various Catholic organizations who provide support in camps and communities across the world to refugees. In the United States, services are provided by Catholic Charities and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Both organizations advocate for further protections and provide support for newly arriving refugees. Click here to learn more about World Refugee Day.
