Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

This evening we enter into the Holy Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter). Join us as a family at our Thursday Soup Supper (5:30pm), for Mass tonight (7pm), and our Friday Stations of the Cross (11:15am). Continue the celebration with the rest of our parish, or if you are out-of-town, visit the nearest church to celebrate Easter.

Thank you for completing the brief survey on the Auction; link is still active for a few more days.

Report Cards for Trimester 2 will be sent home with students today (along withl a note about your re-registration status). Thank you all for your assistance with keeping registration moving smoothly. Wait lists still remain in place for next year's PreK and 3rd grade. After Spring Break we will provide a more detailed enrollment update.

Also school dismisses at noon on Friday (tomorrow), EDC is offered to all who may need afternoon care.

As we go to Spring Break, also begin thinking of what teacher you would like to nominate for the Teacher Excellence Award for this year. This award is funded through a special donor in our School Fund Drive and gives one teacher each year a professional development experience they bring back to the school and their classroom. Mrs. Gazewood was our most recent recipient and used her award to visit National Parks in the West and bring new geology experiences back to her classroom. Nomination forms and more info will come out in our next newsletter.

Happy Easter and have a safe Spring Break! See you back at school on April 9th!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

5th Grade Class Colonial America Presentations
Colonial America is alive and well in Fifth Grade! Over the past month, students have been independently applying their research skills to complete a persuasive research assignment, from the perspective of an early American colonist. During this Holy Week, fifth graders have been presenting and persuading their classmates to drop everything and move! “Why leave your home, your family and everything you know? For adventure of course!” With slogans, catch phrases and sales pitches in the form of tri-fold boards, speeches, song and even costume, the fifth graders have brought history to life. As a class, we are focusing on the impact of colonists on life in the 1500s- late 1600s, and how they impacted the world, the people, and life in what would become the United States of America... Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl: Encounter the Risen Christ
We prayed, fasted and gave alms and now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl ends as we encounter our Risen Lord. We reflect on our brothers and sisters we have walked with, and we commit to bringing Eater joy to each person we meet in our daily lives. If you forgot to turn in your Rice Bowl, you can still put your marked donation in the collection basket or drop off your Rice Bowl at the school or parish. It helps our counters if you can write a check or give cash instead of turning in loose coins. Thank you for your generosity!
