Coffin Community Circle is looking for a few parent (or grandparent) volunteers to assist with childcare during their event on January 13th.  Tracey Peck-Moad will be organizing activities for the children in 4-5 different stations.  One of those stations will be a quiet area set aside for toddlers.  She would love to have 4-5 adult volunteers to help.

Thanks!

January Walk/Bike to School Day

Friday, January 16

Winter has already taken it's toll on the number of Walk/Bike to School Days we have had, but the weather looks promising for our January day!  Let's get out and get moving!

Coffin (and HBS) families are encouraged to walk or bike to school on Friday, January 16th.  Children who ride the bus will be dropped off on Columbia Avenue, and volunteers will help them walk safely along the path to the main entrance of Coffin School.  We need volunteers to make this event a success!  Coffin School volunteers meet in the Coffin gym at 8:20am, and then spread out along the path to greet students until about 8:55am.  Your children are welcome to join you.

Please consider helping us with one of the most fun volunteer opportunities of the year!

Coffin Family Movie Night and Teddy Bear Club Toy Drive

Collecting Donations of New Stuffed Toys

This Week     January 12-16

Coffin School Lobby

A HUGE thank you to everyone who was able to join us for movie night this past Friday!  A great time was had by all!  Special thanks to Seabren and Whitney Reeves for making this wonderful event possible, to Mr. C and Ms. Peck-Moad for helping set up the AV equipment, and to Mr. Funderburk for providing some much needed stretching during intermission!

We will be accepting donations of new stuffed teddy bears or other stuffed animals with tags attached all this week to give to MidCoast Hospital's Teddy Bear Club, a program that provides stuffed friends to children in the hospital while they await treatment in the ER or Medical/Surgical Unit, lab testing, or any other medical procedure to help calm their fears about being there.  Those of you who were unable to join us but still wanted to donate are welcome to drop these off in the box located in the Coffin School lobby.
