Our local farms still have a great variety of items available so we’re keeping the Locavore produce basket going strong (soon it will change to East Coast USA). Over 80% of the contents of this weeks baskets continue to include local produce items.

Notes: The fires surrounding the Fruitland Valley Vineyard this summer provided an incredible back-drop of Palo Santo and Sandlewood in Gratus, making for a much more serious wine than its predecessor. This vintage starts with an aroma of rich, raw honey and earth, some suggestions of smokiness and black tea. The palate is lazer-like in its acid profile, watering the mouth and addicting the tongue. There is a touch of sweetness from the residual sugars that helps balance the acidity beautifully.
