Serving Berkshire County Since 2008
 Greetings!
This weeks Produce Baskets support over five local farms that have root cellars, cold storage, and greenhouses.

Periods of extreme cold like we just experienced reinforce the importance of supporting our local food system especially those farms who are trying to operate year-round. They are depending on our support more than ever.

The farms we work with in the southern states and across the country have reported transportation along with quality issues especially on some of the more delicate items.

We will be working vigilantly to ensure quality is maintained.

If you do receive something that's less than excellent quality, please do let us know immediately so we can credit your account. We mean it! Thank you for your continued support!
The best variety of local & organic veggies and fruit in the Berkshires!

Bayley Hazen Blue Cheese
Bayley Hazen Blue is a Jasper Hill Farm, Vermont, original, and is made from high-quality whole raw milk. It has developed a loyal following because of its fudge-like texture, toasted-nut sweetness, and anise spice character. The paste is dense and creamy, with well-distributed blue veins. The usual peppery character of blue cheese is subdued, giving way to the grassy, nutty flavors in the milk.

2016 Teutonic Wine Company Sprockets White
Willamette Valley, Oregon
SALE $16.99

Grape Varietal: 50% Scheurebe, 25% Huxelrebe and 25% Pinot Noir

Designation: Dry farmed and following sustainable practices

Notes: A wine done in the style of Austrian Gemischter Satz, where a bunch of different grapes are grown in the same vineyard and then blended together to make one wine. The aromas and flavors of orange zest, apricot and capsaicin with a dry talc minerality that goes on forever. The steely acidity is off the charts but given the amount of fruit here, that's a good thing. The balance and complexity of this wine is amazing!

Drink if you enjoy: Wines that are, to quote the producer, “Kick Ass!” And German or Austrian style wines made domestically on the West Coast.

Rutabaga fries are what your life has been missing. Savory-sweet french fries made from healthy rutabaga. Low calorie, easy to make, and complemented by two delicious dips.
If you haven’t used collard greens as much as you’d like, it’s time to start now! These babies provide the 4th greatest amount of antioxidant capacity (related to overall dietary intake), among 12 nutrient-rich foods—ranking 4th behind sweet potato greens, mustard greens, and kale.

This soup really can be made in less than an hour and tastes like it simmered all day. Minestrone lends itself to variations, so improvise with the ingredients that you have on hand. If you don't have celery root, use regular celery.
Thank you for supporting this small, locally owned business and by extension our local farms and artisans.

Your continued support throughout the Winter months is greatly appreciated.

We wish you a healthy & happy 2018!
