More About Us
Mardi Gras Breakfast with Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday, February 11th!
The Youth Group will be preparing and serving an all Church Mardi Gras breakfast this Sunday, February 11th. This is the last Sunday before the beginning of Lent, so we invite you to come and eat and enjoy before the Lenten journey (which sometimes includes fasting or the giving up of something) begins. The breakfast will begin at 8:45 a.m. A free will offering will be received. All proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Youth Group's upcoming Mission Trip to Philadelphia. Also, there will be one worship service at 10:00 a.m. this day so all can attend the breakfast. The Modern Riffs will be with us at this service. All are welcome! Please join us!
Copies of a Lenten Devotional, Practicing Love, will be available this Sunday. Also, the Deacons would like share that there are two on-line devotionals you might like to consider. One is a daily devotional which spans the entire year and an ilent devotional which is available during Lent. The site for the daily devotional can be found at:
and the ilent devotional can be found at:
You can sign up for these on-line devotionals and have a message delivered to your inbox each day.

Pastor Denise was inspired by an article written by the author, Ann Patchett, about her year of no shopping. The article can be found at
. During the Season of Lent, Pastor Denise is going to take on the challenge as Ann Patchett found it created more time, space and resources to care for others. If you'd like to join Denise (you define your own rules about what "no shopping" will include for you), please let her know. She would love to gather together, after Lent is over, to discuss the experience.
We are in need of Greeters to greet everyone as they come to worship on Sunday mornings before our 10:00 a.m. service. Simply arrive at 9:45 a.m., stand at the end of the hallway as you enter from the parking lot, and welcome everyone as they arrive. If you would like to be a greeter, please sign up on the sheet under the name tags. Thank you!

Mark 9: 2-10
Loving God, shine your light in our hearts. Help us to see others as Jesus did - with eyes of compassion. May we listen as Jesus did - to the cries of broken hearts and a broken world. May we reach out to others as Jesus did - with healing and hope. May we celebrate with others as Jesus did - sharing your abundant provisions. Amen.
