From the Rector
Dear Friends and Parishioners of St. Mary's,
This summer there are a number of ways for you to get involved with the parish, and to connect with others. Next week on
July 12 at 7:00 p.m.
is our
"Lawn Chair Theologians"
gathering so please join us for conversation, and snacks. We will gather on the lawn near the circle drive. (In the event of rain we will be in the Great Hall). If you wish, bring your lawn chair, a snack to share and a spiritual or religious topic you would like us to discuss. We will put all the topics into a box and pull them out randomly and talk about them. No need to prepare, just come and enjoy.
Saturday July 15
is our next
Community Meal
from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Please join us for dinner and feel free to invite friends, family and neighbors. This is a great chance to get together with people from the parish and to meet other people in the community. This month's dinner is a summer cook out complete with brats, hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob, potato salad and a desert. A free will offering will be taken for those who wish to donate.
We are always seeking volunteers to help at the
Crystal Lake Food Pantry
and this is another great way to meet people, have fun and be involved with the community. Our next day to staff the pantry is
Monday, July 24
. Please contact Chris Bednaroski
or speak
to Rev. Fran. The Pantry is located nearby at 42 East Street here in Crystal Lake.
We have many visitors and new people in the parish at both our 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services as well as at our coffee hour. Please remember to wear your name tags.
See you all on Sunday,
Fran+
