The ice cream social will take place at Coffee Hour following the 10:00 a.m. service. We will have plenty of ice cream, and toppings for everyone. Thank you for another wonderful, faithful year of church school, children's worship, youth group, children's nursery and acolyte ministry.

Calling All Bilingual Parishioners!

Do you speak another language in addition to English?   Then we want you at the 10:00 a.m. Pentecost service on Sunday, June 4 !   As you know, we have a wonderful Pentecost tradition here at St. Mary's. The Pentecost reading of the Acts of the Apostles 1:1-21 is read in several different languages simultaneously, to illustrate the scripture passage: "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability."  (Acts 2:4)

In the past we've had speakers in Spanish, French, Italian, Latin, German, and even Russian! This year we already have a volunteer who will read in Greek! Any language is welcome!!!!   If you are interested, please contact Amy in the parish office. She will get you a copy of the reading in your preferred language, or you may use your own foreign-language Bible if you have one.

Parents /Grandparents: Share your Graduate's News!

Do you have a child/grandchild graduating from Jr. High, High School, or College? We'd love to share the good news with everyone, so please let us know all about your graduate: the school they're graduating from, and the school (or job) that will be the next step. You may include other information as well, such as scholarships or awards received. A simple write-up can be submitted to the Parish Offic e; the good news will be included in upcoming issues of The Magnificat Weekly .

Paper Products Donations Needed

The Crystal Lake Food Pantry needs your help!  Your donation of paper products and money would be greatly appreciated, as the pantry is not able to purchase paper goods through the food bank.  Items such as toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, napkins, etc., may be dropped off in the basket in the Narthex. You will also find envelopes there for monetary donations. St. Mary's is one of the founding churches of the pantry and it is up to us to help those less fortunate. Thank you for your continued support!

Crystal Lake Food Pantry Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the next St. Mary's date at the Food Pantry, Monday, May 22 . Shifts are 9:30 am to Noon, or Noon to 2:30 pm. Contact Chris Bednaroski at 815-444-9122, or kat0715@att.net, if you can help out!

If you currently volunteer on St. Mary's service days, please consider helping on other days, too.   The pantry's online SignUp Volunteer Calendar has been updated with many new opportunities to volunteer! To learn more, please visit www.clfoodpantry.org .   If you are interested in assisting clients, stocking shelves, helping sort food and even helping to receive perishable food (dropped off from the grocery stores throughout the week), we've got a spot for you!  If you have friends that may want to volunteer, please be sure to share this information with them, too!

We are truly grateful for your support!
