Congratulations on the successful completion of the first week of school. The building was filled with excitement, and the children and adults alike were thrilled to return!

You're invited to the Thacher community's annual welcome back picnic (organized by Thacher parents and caregivers).

New this year - it's a Potluck! Please bring a nut-free dish to share.

Pizza Lunches start September 26

The AP Pizza Company is excited to offer Pizza Wednesdays again this year with some new changes. Parents will have a choice of gluten free or regular dough pizza. (Gluten free pizzas are thinner and smaller and priced accordingly on the order form.)

Please place one order for the whole session that runs from 9/26 - 1/30. Lunch includes pizza and fresh fruit. Lead Guides will provide water as a beverage.

Class Parent Update from the TPC (Thacher Parent Council)

Soon each family will be hearing from their “Class Parents.” Class Parents take on the responsibility of communication and organization for each classroom.

Each class will have at least two Class Parents working together.
Class Parents are chosen by the Lead Guides - typically a returning parent and a new parent. Class Parents ideally serve two years.
Class Parents will be meeting regularly as a group to share feedback and ideas from their room families and will also help with welcoming new families and staff appreciation.

Vicky's Riding for a Cause

Vicky Varnum (Thacher's delightful Business Assistant) will ride 160 miles this fall to help support The American Lung Association. Vicky's goal is to raise $1,000. Let's help her achieve that goal.
