A Note from Margaret in the Final Days of 2018 Stewardship Campaign
The Session will meet on Thursday, February 15, to finalize UPC's budget. While it remains likely that balancing the budget will require programming cuts, they will be considerably smaller than we anticipated a month ago. That improved outlook is due to the generosity of this congregation. Already generous givers have increased their pledges, and additional pledges have continued to arrive. Your response testifies to the health and commitment of this congregation. Even in an interim season, even on the heels of a sizable capital campaign, you continue to engage in sacrificial giving-offering your time, your skills, and your resources with the prayer that God will use them to do things you have not yet imagined. What a joy it will be for me, in the years to come, to watch from a distance as your future unfolds. I am confident that God will do great things in and through this place as you continue to yield your lives in trust.
If you haven't had the chance to join this effort, but would still like to do so, pledge cards can be found in the narthex; pledges may be made by emailing
, or you may pledge securely online at
