Getting to Know You
We want to share with you those who are serving at
Rise Recovery. Introducing Gerry Smith,
Rise Recovery Board Member:
I serve on the board because I feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment each and every time I witness the miracle of recovery with Rise Recovery.
I am so blessed to have the privilege of serving on this Board and look forward to each coming year, knowing that in some small part I am helping in the furtherance of the Rise mission.

IN THE EVENING : UNITE Conference includes a once-in-a-lifetime evening experience with Keynote Speaker Chico West , owner and CEO at Casa Colina. Hear his message on the solutions to codependency and addiction. A n experienced Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor as well as Certified Experiential Therapist, Chico has over twenty years of experience to share with our community.
We have had an incredible and miraculous partnership with the supporters who have offered our Southside Woodhull space to us for so many years. I'd like to believe the building owner's plans for this property are now properly blessed by the miracles of recovery they allowed to happen there. We want to share with you that Rise Recovery's Southside activities will be moving to new locations across our centers and meeting sites effective February 1st.

  • Our Monday PDAP groups, to include younger group, older group and family group, will be held at South Side's Harlandale United Methodist Church.
  • Our South Side Education Class will also be hosted at South Side's Harlandale United Methodist Church.
  • Individual coaching/counseling sessions with staff will be held at either the House of Prayer campus or Asbury United Methodist campus - your counselor will let you know.
  • Our PDAP Center - for walk-in day space for our community - can be found at the House of Prayer campus.

Refer to our up-to-date calendar on the Rise Recovery website for additional details about your specific event, upcoming activities and orientations.
A Family Approach to Recovery
The relationship with your child is the most important thing to attend to – don’t lose sight of this core value when you’re legitimately concerned about your son or daughter’s substance use.
