We invite you to join us for worship  at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. Christian Education for Adults, Youth and Children takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., the exception being the Synoptic Gospels class led by Rick Krumel which meets from 9:15 until 10:00 a.m.

Bishop Suffragan Anne Hodges-Copple will be with us next Sunday, December 17th for Confirmation and Reaffirmation of Baptism. She will lead an Adult Forum at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary and will be the preacher, celebrant and officiant for the day and the offering will be designated for the Bishop's Discretionary Fund; checks can be made out to the Diocese of NC. There will be a reception for the Bishop following the 10:30 a.m. service. Please bring an appetizer to share.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish will be held on Sunday, February 11th, 2018. During that meeting we will need to elect three new persons to serve on the Vestry. The three leaders who are rolling off are: Charlotte Lafon (Outreach), Bob Smith (Building and Grounds) and Laurie Smith (Communications). If you feel called to serve in one of these ministries for a two-year term on the Vestry, please speak with one of the Wardens or any member of the Vestry. You must declare your interest by January 14th.

Thank you to those of you who have returned your financial Pledge Card for 2018. On Wednesday December 13th our Intergenerational Advent Program continues with making Luminaria. Last week we had 30 people aged from 3 to 83. Newcomers and long-timers came out to make Advent wreaths, so join in the fun. Individuals, couples, and families are invited to share supper at 6:30 p.m. followed by our Advent craft, with all materials and instruction provided. Sign up in the Narthex, or click  here  and please indicate how many from your family will attend. If you are interested in helping to provide a meal please click on the date you wish to help: 12/13  12/20.

The Angel Tree ministry for 2017 kicked off this past Sunday, December 3rd. Our Angel Tree brings the joy and magic of Christmas to local children. Working through the Winnie Hooper Center, St. Patrick's is given a list of names of local children in need, along with their wish list for Christmas. Named tags are chosen by parishioners from the Angel Tree (located in the Narthex) several weeks before Christmas. We purchase, wrap, label and return gifts to St. Patrick's in time before Christmas. REMINDER: Angel Tree gifts are due back to church no later than December 17th. All gifts should be clearly marked with the CHILD'S NUMBER (1a, 1b, etc.) found on the tag. TIP: If purchasing multiple gifts, put all gifts into one larger bag or box for the child and affix the tax from the Angel Tree to the larger bag/box. Please contact Julie Klapp (303) 522-5152 or email her by clicking here if you have questions or need assistance. Thank you to those of you who have already chosen a tag from the Angel Tree. Tags are still available but are going fast!

It is our tradition at St. Patrick's to decorate our worship space with beautiful Christmas trees, wreaths, and poinsettias for our services on Christmas Eve. We are able to continue this tradition each year thanks to the generous donations we get to the flower fund from our parishioners. You can donate in loving memory of a loved one, or in thanksgiving for someone. Suggested donation is $15 with $5 added for each additional name. The memorials and thanksgivings will be listed in our bulletin at the Christmas Eve services. Poinsettias may be taken home immediately following the 8:00 p.m. service. Deadline for donations is Wednesday, December 20th. Please complete the form by clicking  here

St. Patrick's Hispanic Outreach Mission (HOM) announces a Reading Buddies volunteer-tutor training session from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. following the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday. Please call Steve Iglehart (704) 533-2869 or email him by clicking  here if you are interested.

Our Picture Advent photo challenge begins this Sunday, December 3rd. The theme and scripture reading for each day is listed on the forms in the Narthex and via this link. Please join us in posting a picture a day and remember to look at everyone's post and add some encouraging comments. All ages are invited and encouraged to participate and help make this a meaningful and joyous Advent season.

Are you ready for a life-changing trip to help the underserved? Your help is needed for construction, medical, teaching and orphan care. The trip is scheduled for February 24th through March 3rd, 2018. Thanks to generous donations we have scholarship money available. Please go to the Give Hope website to start the application process.

The time is fast approaching for St. Patrick's to help serve our homeless neighbors at Davidson United Methodist Church as part of our Room in the Inn ministry. As in the past, we will be hosting on the first and third Thursdays of the month beginning December 7th through March 22nd, 2018. We have a rich history of serving in this worthwhile ministry since 2004. Please consider contributing in whatever capacity you can. Overnight hosts, food preparation, serving, cleanup and morning cleanup are a few of the tasks at hand. This is truly a life changing experience in sharing God's abundance with those that are in need of someone to listen, and a warm place to stay only if for just one night. Online signs up is available for December 21 by clicking here . Do not delay signing up. Thank you in advance for your devotion to this ministry. Contact  Sigrid Gimla  (704) 765-5709 if you have questions. Watch for the sign up links!

An Advent Morning of Silence will be held on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at the Friends Meeting House in Davidson. There is no sign up for this event - you can just come. Contact Cynthia Kratt (704) 661-2269 with questions.

We are still looking for 3 Wise Men, Angel Gabriel, Lead Shepherds and Angels. See Georgia, Mark or Jennifer. The Youth Group Christmas Party will be held this Sunday, December 10th after the 10:30 a.m. service. We will have lunch at Subway and then shop for the youth sponsored Angel Tree recipient. Please bring money for the movie, snack (we will provide the Subway lunch) and a wrapped $5 gift.

We invite all the preschool and elementary school aged children and their families to a Christmas Brunch this Sunday, December 10th at 9:00 a.m. (before the Sunday School hour).

We have two opportunities each month to serve at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen. In December we will serve on the 12th from 1 to 4 pm. We are in need of up to seven volunteers (16 years and older) who can commit to helping to prepare the frozen meals for those in need. Please sign up by clicking
