Discussion and public input is welcomed.
The projects will be prioritized and the timelines and funding options will be finalized during the budget process which is currently underway.
Please encourage your friends and neighbors to attend this very important meeting.

Roadway Resurfacing Project: The roadway resurfacing project is near complete. For a full list of the completed areas, please click here. The following areas are pending completion:
SW 88th Ct from SW 156th St to SW 159th St
SW 159th Street from SW 88th Ct to SW 89th Ave
SW 82nd Ave from SW 160th St to SW 168th St (pending approval of bike lane in same area)
Permanent Speed Table Installations: Installation of permanent speed tables in the following areas is scheduled to take place next week:
SW 86th Avenue between SW 172nd Street and SW 168th Street
SW 90th Avenue between SW 170th Street and SW 174th Street
Delays can be expected; please use caution when driving in these areas.
FDOT Project: East and west traffic at the intersection of SW 152nd St and US-1 has been reduced to one lane just west of Jackson South due to the FDOT bridge reconstruction project. The signs and pavement markings for westbound traffic at the intersection of SW 152nd St and US-1 have been modified to reduce traffic heading westbound at this intersection. This a temporary modification in traffic flow and will be in place for approximately another three weeks.
The entire project is expected to be completed in March 2018. Once the contractor is finished with working on the north side of the bridge, they will switch the traffic and place it on the newly constructed north side (one lane in each direction) so they can repair/resurface the south side of the bridge. The construction on the south side of the bridge is expected an additional six weeks.
To summarize, we will be in the one lane in each direction pattern between SW 93 Avenue and SW 97 Avenue for approximately nine more weeks.
Friday, June 9 through Friday, June 23 – There will be alternating single lane closures on Coral Reef Drive/SW 152 Street from US-1 to Florida’s Turnpike between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. to allow the contractor to reconstruct sections of sidewalks and pedestrian ramps.
Once the project is complete, the intersection of US-1 and 152nd Street will be as detailed in the photo below.
