Upcoming Traffic Calming Alternatives: The Village's traffic engineering firm, Marlin Engineering, will host a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, July 5 beginning at 7 pm at Village Hall where they will present to the residents with their County-approved final recommendations for the overall traffic calming plan. Discussion and public input is welcomed.


The projects will be prioritized and the timelines and funding options will be finalized during the budget process which is currently underway. 


Please encourage your friends and neighbors to attend this very important meeting.


Sidewalk Improvement Project: The Village's Public Services Department is almost done with its annual Village-wide sidewalk improvement project. Click here to view the list of the repairs that are currently being performed throughout the Village, with the highlighted lines indicating areas that have already been completed. Please continue to contact Public Services at 305-969-5011 to report any sidewalk concerns in your area. 


Roadway Resurfacing Project: The roadway resurfacing project is near complete. For a full list of the completed areas, please click here. The following areas are pending completion: 

  • SW 88th Ct from SW 156th St to SW 159th St
  • SW 159th Street from SW 88th Ct to SW 89th Ave
  • SW 82nd Ave from SW 160th St to SW 168th St (pending approval of bike lane in same area)

Permanent Speed Table Installations: Installation of permanent speed tables in the following areas is scheduled to take place next week:
  • SW 86th Avenue between SW 172nd Street and SW 168th Street
  • SW 90th Avenue between SW 170th Street and SW 174th Street

Delays can be expected; please use caution when driving in these areas.
