4.11.2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,

What glorious weather we have experienced with the onset of Spring and our 4th Block! I know the windows open in the classrooms and the students back in full uniform has really made us feel some return to normalcy.

Another normal thing that we missed last year was the craziness with which the end of the year unfolds. With a careful eye on the new guidelines we are planning for Just Because Games, for Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation, and other "normal," yet special days for our students.

Also in the works are all the plans for summer time at Trinity. We will once again be hosting summer school and camps here on campus, as well as undertaking a variety of construction projects around campus. Those updates will continue to come regularly.

These newsletters will continue to be very important for keeping you up to date on all that's going on, so please continue to read these carefully!

Warmly,
Laura
President

Coming April 19: Lunch Detention for students who arrive tardy to school

Beginning on Monday, April 19 we are going to stress punctuality for our Blazers each and every morning. Please note that on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Blazers are to arrive at school, and complete their Appian and temperature scan by 8:10 AM at the latest. First period begins at 8:15 AM. Any student who arrives at school after 8:15 AM will receive a Lunch Detention. The students will serve the detention during their Lunch Circle time. There are 3 color designs to choose from, and each bracelet is $3 each. All proceeds will be donated to the Sr. Michelle Germanson Scholarship Fund. We will be selling them this April!
Library News
Are you aware that Trinity has a robust collection of scholarly databases available to your student? We have J-STOR, World Book, Culture Grams and four Gale databases available 24/7! They are located on our Trinity library page here. Your Blazer is given the database usernames and passwords at the start of every year, but if the list has been misplaced, please email Ms. McGreal [email protected] from your Blazer's email account and Ms. McGreal will email you with those passwords. Trinity takes the responsibility of cultivating critical thinking in our students very seriously and research based on quality, trustworthy sources is the bedrock of developing critical thinking skills. We invest wisely in such sources for our Blazers.

The Laura Southwick Fund provides $500 - $1,000 awards to encourage young people (freshmen, sophomores, or juniors) between the ages of 14-17 to begin discovering their own style and start shaping their creative aspirations in the fine and applied arts.

The A&D Hewitt Scholarship is in memory of brothers Abel and Don Hewitt, who believed that you inspire others when you are your most authentic self. The purpose of this fund is to encourage and enable students to explore possibilities in new and varied areas of interests, expanded cultural experiences, leadership training, and new skills development. The grant awards are between $250 and $500 and will be awarded to support creative/development interests, academic, STEM, enrichment or internship opportunities.

The Baldoceda Memorial Music enrichment grant is a $1,000 grant that can be used for programs, materials, equipment, or instruction that furthers the applicant's musical goals. Anyone between 14-25 years of age interested in music is eligible to apply.
