K-8 Uniform Reminders:
It's time to give parents and students a few reminders about our school uniform policy. We have noticed some students struggling to comply in these areas:
Socks: We are seeing some unusual colors and styles. Our policy says: white, navy blue, hunter green, gray. Anklets, plaid ruffle, anklets from Dennis, crew, knee socks, or tights. Middle school students do not need to wear socks, but K-5 students do.
Belts: We are seeing students forgetting to wear belts.  Our policy says: Belt colors of navy, blue or black and grade 2-8 must wear visible belt on pants and shorts with loops.
Pants: We are seeing lot so pants in poor condition being worn to school. Our policy says: no holes or worn pants. (We realize this is a tough one for parents at this time of year, trying to squeeze in one more month of wear before purchasing the next larger size, but we are asking for cooperation on this.)
Outer Wear, Sweatshirts and Jackets worn inside: Outer wear (sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets) that is worn inside the school must comply with the uniform policy. Our policy says: plain sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets only in white gray, hunter green, navy blue with no other decoration or logos on sweatshirts.

The Falcons Jazz Band took a special trip to Disneyland to participate in a choreography workshop. Students spent time learning steps to a dance routine. The goal of this workshop was to help students with their band performance and stage presence. Everyone enjoyed the class and spent the rest of their day at the park!

The 2nd gr., 4th gr., & 5th gr. classes visited Legoland this week to a STEM workshop! Students in 2nd grade learned about motion and how physical forces like gravity, inertia, and friction effect moving objects. Students had a great time assembling cars and testing their speed.
