Giving Tuesday is November 28, 2017. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the back-to-back days of deals, join us in kicking off the holiday giving season on Giving Tuesday! On this global day of giving, we are looking for 114 donors to give $100 each to support the Quaker education we offer our students.
It's Time to Clean Out Your Closets! Donations Needed for Holiday Gift Sale
Our students look forward to shopping at our holiday gift sale each year and picking out the perfect gift for their parents and siblings.
This year our sale will be held on December 12 and each gift will be $1.
We are now accepting donations of new and gently used items to sell at the Holiday Gift Sale.
A collection bin is located on the porch of the Meetinghouse now through
Friday, December 11.
Please sort through your closets, cupboards, book shelves,
game drawers, toy bins, and jewelry boxes for gifts
that can be purchased by our students for their family members.
Gifts for dads and teens are always in high demand.
We can always use volunteers.

For the second year, FSH partnered with the Ardmore Food Pantry
to help provide Thanksgiving meals for guests in need. We collected 16 bags this year!

Preschool and grades 3/4 enjoyed their partner time together in the library. Grades 3/4 cozied up with their young friends and read some of their favorite books to them. Click here for pictures.
Classes engaged in a Zones review and shared in an "inventory" of the tools that they can use in the blue, green, yellow, and red zone. Tools might include a fidget, seat cushions, bucket filling compliment, relaxing sand timer, invisible invitation, pencil grips, body break, body hug, etc. Kipper, our friendly therapy dog, also showed us how he can do a wall push up as a body break. Our tool boxes are full!
Field Hockey Game
Our field hockey team played a hard fought game vs FSH moms. The moms were ahead then the kids came back to tie it up towards the end of the game. The moms rallied and ended the game with a 7-5 victory. Both teams enjoyed the challenge and playing together. Click here for photos.
Grade 1 in Music Class
Grade 1 is learning dance steps in music class that focus on balance and simple rhythmic movement. They are always learning new songs and started with "Shenandoah" which includes sign language (ASL). Click here for photos.
Parent PTO Potluck Social
The Parent PTO Potluck Social was a lovely evening filled with good food and conversation. Parents brought delicious food to share and had an informal PTO Meeting discussing upcoming events. If you missed this Potluck Social be sure to join us for the next one on March 13. Click here for photos.
November Lunch Menu
JPM Catering is excited to announce some upgrades to your school lunch program:
- We are now offering multiple gluten-free lunches every month. They are marked on the menu as (GF).
- We are now offering additional ordering options: Large, Picky Small and Picky Large, giving more choices for younger or older students/faculty.
- You should notice the look of our ordering page to be a little cleaner from last month, part of our ongoing effort to improve user interface.
Please remember lunches can be ordered until midnight the night before school. Refunds are only available with 24 hours notice of student absence or if there is a snow day or school cancellation. We prefer lunches are bulk ordered at the beginning of the month.

KidStuff Book Sale is Over
Just a friendly reminder to send in payment of $25 for your KidStuff Book...Our KidStuff sale has ended. Use just a few coupons to save more than the cost of the book... Keep the book in your car! You will enjoy savings from Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Lego Store, Learning Express, local attractions, restaurants and more. If you are unable to participate in this fundraiser, simply return the KidStuff book sent home with your child to give to his/her teacher

Save The Dates

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz will take place on Tuesday, December 5, at 7:00 pm and Thursday, December 7, at 8:30 am. All are invited.
This pretzel initiative is an opportunity to fundraise for middle school trips, build community, and engage with math skills in meaningful ways. The Carousel Connections crew and middle school math students will sell pretzels during the class snack times on Fridays. If you would like your child to receive a freshly baked pretzel, please send a $1 in with him/her. Please note that we will not have a pre-paid sale due to our focus on the math and money exchange. Thank you for supporting our pretzel sale!
