Dear Parents,

This week we revived our safety patrol - 14 fifth graders are working with Ms. Macari to provide a safer arrival for our students. I am so appreciative of their efforts, it's not an easy job. I heard through the grapevine that one student told his parent that he thought he could be more effective if he had a radar gun. It makes me think that if he notices how fast the cars are moving then it's probably time that we slow down!

Thank you for your generosity today as we held a dress down day to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey. $813.75 was collected!! We will cut a check and send it to Catholic Charities - feel free to send other contributions through next Wednesday. It would be nice to have an even $1000 to send. I encourage you to look through your closets this weekend and see if you can find some of the requested items to donate. We have a chance to make a difference in the lives of people who have lost everything. I know you will do what you can.

Blessings for an enjoyable long weekend!

Mrs. Bogataj
