Weekly Update September 9, 2017
From the Principal

Welcome Back! We're off to a great start at St. Michael Catholic School.

It was great to see so many families attend the "Back to School Night". Thanks to Parent Connections for coordinating the Walking Tacos. They were a BIG success.   Also, thanks to the many organizers, specifically Kris Hall and Jessica Zalusky for making the evening a great success. It was great to see so many families getting to know teachers and enjoying a meal together.

The St. Michael staff is a tremendous team. It is a privilege for me to be associated with each of them - from Faithful Beginnings through grade 8! With me, they remain committed to Shaping disciples of Jesus by igniting the spiritual, academic and social growth within each child.

Many "THANKS" for accomplishing so much this summer and to help start the year off right.

  • Thanks to Mrs. Lind who lead the expansion of preschool over the summer and the many volunteers who helped.
  • Thanks to Judy Menden and the Buildings and Ground crew who put the fire retardant sealant on our paneling during the summer.
  • Thanks to all the teachers and staff members who throughout the summer moved furniture and curriculum from classroom to classroom.
  • Thanks to those who were on the interviewing teams.
  • Thanks to the Marathon Committee for organizing this year's events.
  • Thanks to Parent Connections - and our Chair, Jessica Maslow, for coordinating volunteer efforts to make our events run so smoothly!
  • Thanks to the St. Michael School Advisory Council for such strong support and the leadership they provide for the entire school!

Our annual Curriculum Night events are September 19 and 21.  I will be speaking on RTI (Response to Intervention) in and out of the classroom and meeting the needs of excelled math and Language Arts students.

We ask for and appreciate your support and prayers while we work together to make St. Michael Catholic School a wonderful place for students to learn and grow.

God bless you all,

Mrs. Maxwell
