Weekly Update -- November 17, 2017
Dear Parents,

I'd like to thank Mr. auf dem Kampe, Mrs. Schoenbeck, Mr. Hanes, Mrs. Kline, Mr. Wilson, Ms. Logier, Mrs. Garrett and Mrs. Anderson for coming out to speak to our students about their jobs. Our guest speakers represented the fields of police work, military service, fire/EMT, journalism, animal care, and business ownership. It's always interesting to hear what the responsibilities are in each job. The kids were excited to learn about different professions - and sometimes they were a bit surprised by all the hard work that goes into jobs that "look so easy" from the outside.

I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving!! Enjoy the time with your family and friends.

Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Bogataj
Updates and Reminders
**When we return from Thanksgiving break we will start our annual Day of Giving collection. This is different than the toy drive that we just finished. Please look at the flyer below and encourage your children to bring in items from the list. The list may look overwhelming at first, but we do not expect you to bring an item for each organization . Just do what you can. We are blessed more than we know and giving to those less fortunate is a wonderful way to thank God for our own blessings. Day of Giving

**We had a couple of cool days recently and the question immediately came up - "What does my child wear to school on colder days?" Please double check the school handbook particularly p. 16 - only uniform items are allowed to be worn in the classroom. Please make sure to order some "winter clothes" for your child so he/she is comfortable on cold days. The link to Tommy Hilfiger uniforms can be found on our school website.
