Even though the shelter is not in operation for overnight shelter at the moment, did you know we provide fulltime support and service to all of our guests throughout the summer? A few days ago we celebrated with one of our young guests who regained custody of her small children and signed a lease. Thank you for your ongoing support to the mission of St. John's!
Save the Date: 2016 Gala
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 15th for the 2nd annual Shelter Gala. We would love to see you, your organizations, your churches and your contacts present at this year's Gala as we share some exciting developments and stories.
Coffee for the Cause was a huge success this past Saturday. A heartfelt thank you to all that provided baked goods and attended the event! (A special thank you to Dave LaForest for his diligent work planning this event as well!)
New shirts are available for purchase at The Micah Center. The front reads, "I used to be your neighbor" while the back states, "Your change helps fund my change". We are wearing these at various fundraising events throughout the summer and would love to see shelter supporters throughout the community spreading this message as well. Available in four colors, S-4X. Stop on down and purchase yours for $15 today!
Other Ways to Get Involved
Calling all food lovers! St. John's has partnered with some local restaurants for summer fundraising opportunities. If you're interested in helping to promote St. John's Shelter at HuHot Mongolian Grill on the 21st, we are looking for volunteers to hand out information from 4pm-6pm (shift 1) and 6pm-8pm (shift 2). Email Angela at amihalko@sjehs.org if you'd like to volunteer.

10% of all sales that night will be donated to St. John's Shelter so we'd love to see you all out enjoying some Mongolian food that night as well!

Are brats more your style? We are looking for volunteers that would like to grill and serve alongside staff at various Festival Food locations throughout the summer. Our first brat fry stand is June 24th at the DePere location. Email Abbie at anies@sjehs.org if you'd like to get involved!

Boooyah Fundraiser
A huge thank you to Marlene Olejniczak who hosted a Booyah fundraiser at St. John's Shelter which will be featured on the TV Show State Plate.

Marlene did the fundraiser in honor of her sister, Betty Fierros, who recently passed away. Betty was a committed support of St. John's Homeless Shelter.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Marlene and Betty!
If you are skilled at finance, are a great networker or would simply like to get involved in serving as St. John's creates a Financial Development committee, we would love to hear from you. Please email Alexia at awood@sjehs.org  for more information.
Thank you for your support!
