Leadership Johnson County Applications Now Being Accepted 
Leadership Johnson County applications are now being accepted until July 31st. The class is limited to 16 participants and the first session will take place September 9th. Leadership is a community issues oriented program that has been designed to inform, motivate, and challenge participants through education and interaction with community, county, state leaders, and decision makers. The program provides opportunities for participants to meet peers from different fields and form friendships that benefit the community as well as their own professional and civic careers. Chamber to feature "Ratatouille" for Peach Festival Cinema on the Square

Job Readiness Workshop for Single Mothers Set
The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund will present a job and career readiness workshop for single mothers on Wednesday, July 9th, on the campus of University of the Ozarks in Clarksville. The workshop, which is free for single mothers, will run from 9am to 4pm in the Boreham Business Building. The workshop will feature job readiness coach Dr. Jan McCormick and will highlight such job-related topics as resume writing, networking, interviewing techniques, personal branding, stress management, job searches and more. Each attendee who completes the training will receive a $50 Walmart gas card. Free childcare and lunch will also be provided.  Read more...

Senate & House Interim Committees to Tour Fruit Research Station 
The Senate and House Interim Committees on Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development will be meeting and touring the Fruit Research Station Thursday, July 10th at 1pm and Friday, July 11th at 9am. Meet at the Fruit Research Station in the Cole Westbrook Bldg located at 1749 State Hwy 818, then tour the Edamame Fields. The public is invited to attend.
