"The Earth, Our Home: Meditations in Poetry, Readings and Music" with Rev. Jill McAllister and David Servias

In our final summer Sunday service, we'll pause to ground ourselves and honor the earth, our home, in the midst of great changes.

Friday, September 11, 7:00 PM
Kirtan (Hindu chanting)
with the New World Kirtan Band

Kirtan comes from ancient Hindu traditions of chanting as devotional practice, to calm your mind and open your heart.

Sunday, September 13, 9:30 and 11:00 AM
"Joining of the Waters: An Ingathering Sunday"
with Rev. Jill McAllister and Everyone

All are invited to bring a SMALL amount of water from some place important to you as we begin a new church year together, with a service for all ages. Baby and toddler care provided.

Spirit of Life, we are so often in the midst of changes we did not choose. We may find those changes to be frightening or joyous, gifts or trials, such a mixture that we don't know how we feel. Help us to hold our centers when our worlds shift.
Announcements

The Adult Religious Exploration and Growth Fall Programs 2015 Brochure is now available on our website! Click the link to see what's being offered.

Events to attend and opportunities for involvement in justice work are now posted to our webpage at UU Action Updates.

The Program Council is recruiting volunteers! Here are a few: the Connect Up committee is looking for folks interested in promoting connections; the Membership Committee needs a new Membership Class Leader; the Rummage Sale Chairs are ready to retire and would love to train a person or team this summer who would take it over next year. If any of these opportunities sound appealing, contact Wendy Sutton for more information (541-753-6931, connect@uucorvallis.org).

Can you offer a spare bedroom for two nights, September 17th and 18th? We need home hospitality for 12 UUs from around the Pacific Northwest, who will be coming to Corvallis in September, to attend an OWL Facilitator Training at our Fellowship. Contact DRE Michael Molk (molk@uucorvallis.org, 541-752-5218 x225).
