Reminders/Announcements

Holiday Party Reminder; Dec 3rd at Ada and John's. Check your email for the invite with all information. Cost is $20 and includes beverages both non and traditional alcohol. Bring a wrapped gift if you want to be part of the gift exchange.

 

The Giving Tree; a local project that Harris' other club sponsors each year. Go to any Perkins, take a card off the tree, buy a gift for an elder and return the gift.

 

Marilyn Weinstein likes to volunteer but doesn't drive anymore. If you are headed out on a project please consider giving her a lift. She lives in Seven Lakes development off  "41."

Committee Reports
Eiminate-  Bill Grant reported we only have $233 left to reach our model club status goal.
K-Kids -no update  Builder's ClubBarbara Hartman shared that club is finishing up school supply needs and are making encouragement cards for the ACT shelter.   Key Club-no update, CKI-no update Aktion Club-no update
Oasis Room- We need 4 mentor/readers for Nov 29th and 2 for Dec 14th. The link to sign-up is  http://signup.com/go/uiV6sx
BUG Run-tell your friends who are runners/walkers to sign up. We need a minimum of 200.
Service-Breakfast with Santa is Dec 10. Led by Rachel Toomey and Kate Smiley. We are all set, just need volunteers for the event. MS Holiday Party is Dec. 15. We will need a good number of volunteers, some to set up and prep starting at 2pm and others to assist those with getting their food and cleaning up.   Bill Grant will lead this once again.  The Salvation Army could use some help Nov 28,29, 30 sorting packing food baskets for families for Christmas.  Brian Simon was our speaker today. He works at Alliance Financial Group. He asked us "how do we address real problems?" and that led to a discussion on how we need to work together and learn to talk to one another.                                   Revenue Enhancements
50/50: Was conducted by Ed Ludden. Anyone can participate in the 50/50 however only members are eligible to pull for the ace of hearts.  Bill Grant had the winning ticket but did not pull the ace so the jackpot rolls over. Only 12 cards are left!
 
Happy dollars: The "Sheriff"  collected happy dollars, thank you to the speaker, so close to Eliminate goal, for Harris, glad election is over, nephew's team one round one in football playoffs, go Buckeyes, Happy Thanksgiving.
