Unfortunately, we begin this newsletter with some very sad news. Mike Haskins our long-time Operations Director passed away early Monday morning. Mike will not only be remembered for the remarkable job he did for the Weinstein JCC over the many years, but also for his true love for our facility and community. He will be dearly missed and remembered by many.
ANNUAL MEETING (Invitation & Elections) The Weinstein JCC Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Israel November Auditorium. And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank Wednesday, May 2- 13 Showtimes and Tickets. A multimedia play by James Still that combines videotaped interviews with Holocaust survivors. A unique multimedia journey into the life and world of Anne Frank, and two Holocaust survivors who were her friends. Ed Silverberg was Anne Frank’s first boyfriend and Eva Schloss was her neighbor in the same apartment building inAmsterdam. Eva was the same age as Anne Frank, and her family went into hiding the same day as the Frank family, and, like the Frank family, they were betrayed. On Eva’s 15th birthday, her family was arrested by the Nazis and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
ReelAbilities: Disabilities Film Festival Monday, May 14 - Sunday, May 20 Film schedule, events and tickets. ReelAbilities is a film festival that presents award-winning films that celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience. These films are accompanied by discussions and other engaging programs in an effort to promote awareness and appreciation of the lives and stories of people with disabilities.

Dolphin Club Summer Swim Team - Open House & Registration May 3, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. May 6, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Looking for a fun and exciting summer activity? Come to a Dolphin Club open house event where you’ll learn more about summer swim team (winners of the 2011 Len Everett Sportsmanship Award), meet the coaches (winners of the 2011 Coaching Excellence Award) and have all your questions answered. This program is for anyone ages 4 to 18. Daily practices at both the Weinstein JCC andCampHilbert from May 14 through July 17.
