We are excited to announce the TPA Board of Directors for 2016. Thank you for your willingness to serve in this capacity!
Rodney Poling, MD |  President

Dr. Poling is the newly elected President of the Tennessee Psychiatric Association. He will serve a two year term, ending in 2018. Dr. Poling has been practicing in Columbia, TN for the past 26 years.
Valerie Arnold, MD |  President-Elect

Dr. Arnold teaches on the faculty at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association.
Tim Jennings |  Past President

Timothy R. Jennings, M.D. DFAPA is a master psychopharmacologist, lecturer, international speaker, author of multiple books, Past President of the Tennessee Psychiatric Association, President of the Southern Psychiatric Association, and has a private practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Dolores DiGaetano, MD | Treasurer

Dolores DiGaetano, MD is serving as TPA treasurer for a second term. She is a past president of the TPA and a two term past president of the West Tennessee Psychiatric Association.
George Mathews, MD |  Secretary

Dr. George Mathews is a graduate of Grant Medical College, Bombay, India and completed his M.D. in Psychiatry from Bombay University. He serves currently as Psychiatrist and Medical Director at TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN, since January 2014.

Greg Kyser, MD | Advocacy

Dr. Kyser has been board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1993.  He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and completed medical training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Marsi Thrash
Marsi Thrash |  APA Region 5 Field Director - State Government Affairs

Marsi Thrash was hired to fill one of four new field-based positions in November 2015 to assist the state APA District Branches with legislative, advocacy and regulatory issues. This also includes Medicare, Medicaid, grassroots and media needs.

Anne Carr |  Lobbyist

Anne Carr focuses on business, health care, and non-profit issues. Issues in which she has been deeply involved include non-profit tax exemption status, sales taxes, airports, state budget, TennCare, women's health, primary care delivery, graduate medical education, trauma centers, mental health services, and long term care.
Meagan Frazier |  Lobbyist

Meagan Frazier, a Dickson County native, joined Smith Harris & Carr in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. She is a graduate of the Nashville School of Law and Middle Tennessee State University, where she earned a B.S. in Public Relations. She is a licensed attorney.
