Welcome Back Sharks!!

School is starting in just over two weeks and we are super excited
to see all of you. We are thrilled that all our teachers are returning and that we are adding new faces in support services. No doubt your Sharks are in good hands as they enter the 208-2019 school year.

As the new school year begins please know that our front office has been under construction throughout the summer. We are hoping that it is ready to go on our first day, but please be patient with us. In addition, we have a new phone system that we are learning how to use so please be patient with us if you can't reach us right away, if we get disconnected, or if we connect you to a wrong extension.

We have have implemented new policies that will help foster a safer and more engaging school community for students, staff, and families.
These policies include new parking lot rules, visitor sign in procedures, and student supervision just to name a few. We will communicate changes in a variety of ways including at Catch the Wave, emails, Facebook, and flyers. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust to new things. Please be sure to allow plenty of time to get your Shark to school safely in the morning.

We are also launching schoolwide programs that foster a stronger sense of community, build powerful relationships between students and staff, encourage greater school engagement, and promote character development. More information will come as the school
year gets underway.

In addition, the Shell Beach Streetscape Project is slated to begin this school year. We have and will continue to work with the city to minimize the effects this will have on our school community in particular during drop-off and pick up times. Again, we ask for your patience during this expansive undertaking.

We hope you had an amazing summer and
we are eager to hear of all your adventures.

See you soon,
Dr. Cervantez
