Alliance Targets 2017 Legislative Priorities
December means it's time to look ahead.  That's what the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance did this month as representatives from the eight alliance partners and six associate chambers gathered in Traverse City to draft the 2017 legislative priorities for the Alliance. Government Relations Director Kent Wood talks about those priorities in the latest edition of his Northern Michigan Business Blog.
Thanks to these Alliance sponsors:

Kimberly Purdy 2017 Ambassadors Chair
Chamber Ambassadors took this member engagement program to new heights in 2016, and the outlook is looking just as bright for the coming year under the leadership of our 2017 Ambassadors Chair Kimberly Purdy of Trion Solutions. Kimberly is a familiar face in the Grand Traverse region as a former TV 9 & 10 News reporter and Chief Marketing & Development Officer for Special Olympics Michigan. She heads a great team of Chamber Ambassadors who serve as liaisons between the Chamber and its members, help staff Chamber events including our ribbon cutting ceremonies and serve as goodwill representatives of the organization.
Special thanks also to outing Ambassadors Chair Brenda McLellan of Integrated Systems Consultants. Brenda went well above and beyond the call of duty this year to schedule, coordinate and participate in dozens of Chamber member events during the year. She was also a respected and dedicated board member whose contributions won't be forgotten by a very thankful and appreciative Chamber staff. Thanks for a great year of service Brenda!
