Welcome & Thank You
Thank You Amber & Mike
Amber Pichiotino - MetroSquash Development Director - is moving on from MetroSquash to pursue an opportunity with the American Bar Association.
Since she joined MetroSquash in November of 2011, Amber has worked tirelessly to advance the organization's mission. As the first, 'non-programmatic' hire, she professionalized the fundraising arm of MetroSquash - from grant writing, to website and database redesign. She took the gala to the next level, successfully launched the inaugural 'Gala Cup' last fall, served as liaison to the Auxiliary Board, and was instrumental in supporting the capital campaign while ensuring that operational fundraising needs were met and exceeded.
Mike MacDonald has served as MetroSquash's Squash Director for the past 3 seasons. In that capacity, he has shown great leadership and vision, providing coaching, mentorship and support for over 250 children in his time with MetroSquash. He has helped grow our squash program significantly in its size and depth of service. He has supervised dozens of trips all over the country, organized tournaments, and connected many of our students to external squash and enrichment opportunities all over the world. His intelligence, expertise and sense of humor have been an indispensable asset to our team. He leaves MetroSquash to pursue a Master's Degree in Sports Administration at Northwestern University.
Both Amber and Mike's contributions on and off the court will be missed, but we wish them the best of luck in the future.
Please join us to celebrate Amber & Mike's contributions to MetroSquash on Tuesday, June 9th from 6-8pm at the University Club of Chicago, Princeton Room 7th Floor

Welcome Scott Denne
On July 1, 2015 MetroSquash will welcome its new Squash Director - Scott Denne.
Originally from Tasmania, Australia, Scott began playing squash competitively at the age of 9 under the direction of his mother and former nationally ranked squash player, Betty Denne. Scott played in the Australian Championships for Tasmania at a junior and senior level and then received a scholarship at the South Australian Sports Institute, where he trained full-time under Coach Lenny Atkins. It was during his time spent at the South Australian Sports Institute when Scott turned professional, at the age of 18, and began playing on the pro tour all over the world. Scott went on to play on the PSA tour (Professional Squash Association) for 13 years and achieved career high rankings of PSA No. 101, North American PSA No. 12, and ISDA (International Squash Doubles Association) No. 7. Scott began his full-time coaching career in 1998 as the Head Squash Professional at The Cleveland Racquet Club. Since that time, he has coached at several reputable places, including the University School in Cleveland, The Missouri Athletic Club, and the Kiva Club. Scott has extensive experience growing programs, developing junior players, hosting tournaments, and guiding students through the athletic college recruitment process. In his tenure, he has coached over 300 adults and 200 Juniors, with many of those Juniors being ranked nationally.
We are thrilled to welcome Scott Denne to the MetroSquash family and know that he will be a great addition to our program.
