Welcome Back!
PTA Leaders,

I hope you've had a restful and fun summer with your families, and are excited for the school year to begin. I have visited with PTA leaders throughout the state over the last few weeks as we have held Regional Training, and I am always so impressed with the work you do, and the desire you have to help Idaho's kids.  Thanks for everything you're doing each day!

As we head in to the school year, watch for important information on events, grants, and programs from Idaho and National PTA to make your school year even better. And if you have an amazing PTA story you'd like to share, be sure to email us.  We love to hear about your successes!

Remember to mark your calendars for our Idaho PTA Legislative Conference on January 25 and our Convention April 13-14, both in Boise.  We can't wait to see you.

Good luck in 2017-18!

Idaho PTA President

Join PTA to Stop Cuts to Classrooms

Federal funding for public education programs has remained at 2% of the federal budget for decades, despite the increase in public school enrollment and the rising cost of education resources and services. This disparity between funding levels and actual costs means that the federal government has essentially enacted cuts to classrooms.

The federal government's deadline to fund the government for the next year is Sept. 30, 2017. If you would like the United States to have a strong economy powered by a well-educated workforce that can compete on the global stage, then stand with four million parents, teachers, students and community leaders as we demand that Congress #STOPCutsToClassrooms and invest more than 2% in public education before the next fiscal year on Oct. 1, 2017.
