Principal's Note
Welcome to Carver's tenth year!  We are eagerly preparing for a new school year and planning our 10th Anniversary. Our faculty held a retreat together in the hills near Placerville. We celebrated our decade together and deepening our work as Waldorf teachers.

There have been some changes to our faculty over the summer and we are eager to introduce you to our new teachers.

Ms. Stephanie Cook will be co-teaching with Mr. Andrew Llorente in Social Science. They will teach 9th grade Geography and 12th grade Economics and Government. Mr. Llorente will cover for Ms. Cook when she takes maternity leave from mid-October to Mid-March to welcome twin girls!

We welcome Ms. Diane Rodriguez to our Resource Program. She joins Ms. Maria Smith in room 203 in the Special Education program. Ms. Rodriguez  worked for us at Carver in the spring of 2016 as a long term substitute in the Spanish classes. She worked last year in the RSP program at Hiram Johnson High School. We welcome her rejoining the Carver team.

Ms. Embrey resigned from the English Department due to her health concerns. We are happy to introduce Ms. Beth Ghiorso (gar-so) to our faculty in the English Department. Giving to Carver shows your support of our diverse programs. As a public Waldorf school, we rely on donations to provide funding for all the "extras" for our students every day such as the high-quality art supplies students use every day in their classes. Your donations have helped pay for a music program, the mobile kitchen and chalkboards. Our next goal is shaded outdoor seating!
