Michelle Sanchez
This Sunday morning we welcome Michelle Sanchez as our guest
speaker. She's in town to offer workshops on Friday and Saturday (read more below) so I invited her to speak on Sunday. You'll enjoy her passion for God!

Jim Walker Returns from Congo
Jim Walker spent ten days in Congo last month training nurses and doctors life-saving techniques. Read Jim's report here. I am so grateful for his safe return. It was a dangerous trip.

New Testament Challenge Off To Great Start
It's great to see the enthusiasm for reading the New Testament! We are almost out of the initial 300 copies that we purchased. That doesn't count all the free e-books and audio versions that people are using. Almost 200 people are getting the daily e-mail reminder.

BTW...even though Michelle Sanchez is speaking on Sunday,  I will still offer an overview of the book of Acts and 1 & 2 Thessalonians, in written form. Look for it at the information counter.

Disaster Relief Trips are Being Planned: If you are interested in helping with hurricane relief work, check out the article below. We are looking to send a team or two to Texas .

I hope this is a season of spiritual growth for you, even if you are suffering through some hard times. Always know that your three pastors are happy to sit down to talk through whatever difficulty you are facing right now.

Remy

P.S. We have many, many new faces at Cedarbrook. Why not attend the second service on Sunday and then join me for the Discover Cedarbrook lunch at 11:45 a.m.? It's a great way to learn more about the church

Hurricane Harvey Relief
Sign up for a trip this winter

Cedarbrook Church will be partnering with Samaritan's Purse to help with the
cleanup of Hurrica
ne Harvey in the state of Texas during the winter and spring of 2018.

Groups will consist of a maximum of 15 people, ages 14 and up. We will try and schedule one of the trip s during spring break so that college and high school students will have an opportunity to serve.

The cost will be $500 per person, which covers travel costs to and from the city we will be assigned to work in. We are hoping to help the people on the coast in the cities of Rockport and Portland.

If you have an interest in being a part of these future mission trips, please email Diane Colson.  You will be emailed information as updates occur.

Bible Study Options for Stout Students

We often get asked, "What do you have for Stout students?"

We've chosen to refer students to the ministry groups on the Stout campus, like Cru or Inter-Varsity. These are both excellent groups that foster Christian community, study, and outreach much better than we could ever do as a church.

Cru's large group meeting is Thursday nights at 7:34pm in the Applied Arts Building, Room 210.

Inter-Varsity also meets on Thursday night at 6pm in the Glass Lounge at Price Commons. You can email Melissa LaFrance. Email her here or call  her at  651-808-3927
