The Farm
We Produce Fruit, Grass-fed Beef, Hay, Corn, Wine and more to come!
At Chattooga Belle Farm we pride ourselves on having a sustainable farming operation. We irrigate our orchards, vineyards and fields with water from our lake. We grow our own hay to feed our stock in the winter months and we use natural growing practices whenever possible.
We have a fruit for practically every season and welcome guests to come and pick your own! We grow table grapes, wine grapes, peaches, nectarines, apricots, apples, muscadines, scuppernongs, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, goji berries, arctic kiwi, jujube fuit, paw paws, pomegranates, plums, Asian pears, Japanese persimmons, figs, mayhaw and mulberries. We have also recently planted pecans, English walnuts and almonds.
What isn't picked isn't wasted! We use our excess fruit to feed children through regional Farm to School programs or preserve it through canning, freezing or making our delicious wine!
We pasture raise hormone-free grass-fed beef and offer our meat for sale by the cut.
We produce six different varieties of wine for you to enjoy from our orchards and vineyards with two more varietals being introduced this summer!
We grow hay to feed our own stock and also offer hay for sale to other area farmers.
We also grow corn that is milled into corn meal and grits.
We are constantly experimenting with other crops! In fact, we've recently planted some olive trees to see how they perform in our climate.
