Wednesday Night Bible Study Begins
The Exodus Covenant:
Its Reforms and Dangers
Wednesdays, September 20 - October 11
6:30 - 8 p.m., Fellowship Hall
A bible study led by Rev. Dr. Mark Fowler

The Scriptures cycle around two key identifying events: the giving of the Covenant at Sinai (the Ten Commandments, the Decalogue, the Law) and the New Covenant in Jesus Christ. This study will renew these foundations in our lives as a church community and our mission of hospitality, our spiritual journey and our emerging vision and action to live into a transformed world of love and justice. The sessions will focus on the meaning of Sinai, Josiah's reform with the re-discovery of the covenant, Jesus as the New Covenant and a consideration of some contemporary recoveries of the covenant that are both blessing and caution.
