On behalf of the Office of Residence Life and Housing, I want to take a moment to say Welcome to Wake Forest. We are delighted that you have chosen to attend Wake!

Your residential community will be a core part of your experience here and we would like to share some important information to prepare you for arrival.
New Student Move-In
We look forward to welcoming you to on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. As you plan for the day, remember the following:

  • Residence Hall Check-In will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Move-In Assistance will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Campus Services Day will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • If you plan to arrive after 5 p.m., please let our office know by completing our After Hours Arrival form.
  • Prior to departing home, we ask that you print a move-in parking pass and display it on your dash or hang it from your rearview mirror upon entering campus on August 22.
  • In order to best manage traffic flow, we encourage new students, and those traveling with them, to enter campus via University Parkway or Reynolda Road.
  • As you plan, feel free to refer to the University's maps page.

Check-In Barcode
You will receive a seperate email from our StarRez system that contains your Move-In QR Code. When you arrive at your residence hall, please be prepared to present this code along with a photo ID to check-in and receive your room key.

Your Deacon OneCard is NOT required for check-in, you will be able to pick it up in the Benson Student Center between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Move-In Timeframes
In order to best manage traffic and expedite the move-in process for new students and their families, Residence Life and Housing is encouraging students to arrive during the following move-in timeframes based on their housing assignment.

Preparing To Live In Community
Once you arrive on campus, you will be asked to complete a roommate agreement. We encourage you to begin thinking about what you expect in regards to your room and roommate relationship now, so that once you are on campus that conversation is more productive.

Faculty Fellows
The Faculty Fellows Program was created to build community and increase faculty-student engagement, especially outside of the classroom, providing engaging discussions and activities within and beyond our residence halls.

 Faculty Fellows are a group of faculty members assigned to your residence hall who will plan community-building e vents, and be available for informal interaction and advising.
