BIO International Convention Returns to San Diego

"San Diego's booming innovation economy is leading the way on everything from drones to genomes," San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer said. "That's why San Diego is the perfect host city for BIO 2017 this June - a convention that brings together biotech industry leaders from around the world to showcase the exciting discoveries being made in life sciences." 

San Diego continues to be one of the top biotech clusters in the U.S. and a leader in genomics and digital health.  The region is home to more than 1,100 life sciences companies, including  BioDuro , and more than 86 independent and university-affiliated research institutes. 

Faulconer said BIO 2017 is likely to attract 16,000 registrants and 2,200 companies, including 40 percent from other countries.

Beyond the expected 16,000 attendees from 76 nations,  BIO 2017  will host more than 1,800 exhibitors. The exhibit floor will feature product focus zones including the Innovation Zone, Digital Health Zone, Start-Up Stadium and BIO Talent Connect. This is the third time in the past nine years BIO is being held in San Diego.
ChinaBIO Partnering Forum

ChinaBio Partnering Forum 2017

BioDuro joined ChinaBio Partnering Forum as a Silver Sponsor for two days of productive partnering in Zhuhai, China. The event, held over May 31-June 1, attracted biotech and pharma leaders from more than 460 companies and at least 22 countries, making it the largest partnering conference in China.

Support and funding available in China continues to be leveraged by Western and China companies in order to develop assets more cost effectively and efficiently. 2016 was another record-setting year in VC funds raised ($15B) and invested ($5.8B) into life science in China. Partnering activity continues to be robust, with over $8B in deal value created in 2015 and 2016.
Ian Wisenberg, Chief Financial Officer at BioDuro, participated in a panel discussion on funding drug development in China through VC and partnerships, and based on needs, which types of partnerships are the best financial and strategic fits. 

In addition to the ability to provide a fully integrated Drug Discovery and Development program, up to the Clinical Candidate stage (and in some cases beyond, including CMC), BioDuro's keen interest in the topic was fostered by the rapidly paced growth of discovery and development of innovative drugs in China.  

BioDuro Shanghai wins Best Innovation Practice Award

On April 20, 2017, BioDuro Shanghai was awarded with "Best Innovation Practice" at the 2017 Shanghai Free Trade Zone business conference.

A total of 37,000 companies participated in the conference. With its strong science research capability, state of the art facilities and professional services, BioDuro Shanghai successfully stands out of that crowd with 200 other outstanding companies.
