2nd Annual HAUNTED JAUNT
Halloween PUB CRAWL

On Halloween, 100 young professionals gathered in costume for the 2nd Annual Haunted Jaunt, a pub crawl presented by our @PonceSociety of Young Professionals. The Jaunters crawled through Coral Gables from Tarpon Bend Raw Bar & Grill, to Fritz & Franz Bierhaus, to John Martin's Irish Pub & Restaurant. Everyone enjoyed a good scare at Fritz & Franz in a mini Haunted House designed and run by Ponce Society members. Jaunters earned a raffle ticket each time they were brave enough to walk through.

Ponce Society chair Amanda Bonifay said "We had a great time celebrating Halloween in the Gables with our members and supporters. The Ponce Society plans to make the Haunted Jaunt bigger and better each year to attract more young professionals to the Gables on Halloween."

MERRICK SOCIETY

Do you DREAM IN COLOR?

George Merrick's dream for Coral Gables "[began in 1922 with 3,000 acres of citrus groves and pine trees left to him by his father]. Merrick began carving out a town along the lines of the City Beautiful MovementHe designed the new town in great detail, featuring wide, tree-lined boulevards, delicate bridges and sedate urban golf courses. Merrick's secret was his passionate devotion to aesthetics."1

Merrick's devotion to aesthetics lives on today as involved Coral Gables residents strive to maintain the look and feel of the City Beautiful. Do you have a vision for Coral Gables? The Coral Gables Community Foundation established the Merrick Society so that visionary people like you could continue George Merrick's dream. The Merrick Society preserves key philanthropic activities in the Gables and raises unrestricted funds for the Foundation. Merrick Society donors commit to a 3-year annual contribution of $1,000,  $2,500$5,000$10,000, or more.
