Drivers and Sponsors for the ARC

The Salvation Army Anaheim Adult Recovery Center (ARC) is looking for volunteer drivers to take the men in the program to and from outside meetings. The drivers would be using the ARC vans.

If we are able to get this done, it would be a win for everyone. It would build a bridge between Tustin Ranch and the ARC. We really have an opportunity to bring the beneficiaries closer to Christ and assist them in their recovery.

Illuminate
by Lt. Col. Lee Lescano

Illuminate is a new animated series from SAVN. The first episode explores who Jesus really was.

We are praying that this resource maybe be helpful to your congregations, so you can share with those who are seeking and questioning about who this Jesus really is.

Share this resource widely, and share your experiences of who this Jesus is.

Welcome of Cadets

We are excited to announce that registration for the Welcome of Cadets meeting is now open at www.uswevents.org.

Saturday September 10 at 2:00 p.m. A paid dinner will be available after the meeting. Meal tickets must be paid for in advance, no tickets will be on sale the day of the event.

Please note you must use the separate child care registration if child care is need.

Community in Mission Conference
The conference will take place at the Tustin Rancsh Corps on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1.  Commissioners Knaggs, Commissioner Phil Needham and Alan Hirsch are our guests for the conference, with special guest band "The Singing Company" from the Central Territory leading in worship.

This conference will provide an excellent opportunity for leaders, soldiers and friends to explore who we are as an Army and how we can more effectively reach out in mission to our world.

This event spans two days instead of the traditional one-day Empowered format. The conference starts with an optional Friday afternoon session at 4:00 p.m. which includes dinner.  The Friday evening session begins at 7:00 pm.  The conference will finish by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Southern California units' delegates will get a 50% scholarship automatically, so your price will be $25.00 per person.  The pre-conference session which includes dinner will cost an additional $10 if you choose to participate...and I highly recommend it if you are able to get to Tustin that early.

Lost at Sea

by Lt. Col. Lee Lescano

We've been blessed in recent months to hear stories from across our territory about the transforming power of God's love and grace. Last week we shared a story from Alaska, and this week we turn our attention to the island of Guam. In both cases our Army was instrumental in bringing people closer to the Lord....Amen!

As you watch and listen to this story, be reminded that no matter where you are today, God can and will use you!
